Claim (read-before-write)

Recording ownership of a work item before touching it, in a form a machine can read. An assignee field alone cannot distinguish two sessions sharing one account, so the claim is a comment marker a scanner can match. Taking over requires evidence that the previous lane is dead, and death is hard to prove: an agent session can be alive but between turns, invisible to every process probe. No processes and no commits is not evidence.
