Spec-driven development

Writing a spec first and generating from it, rather than prompting straight to code. GitHub's spec-kit ships a real pipeline — constitution, specify, plan, tasks, implement — with a clarify step for underspecified areas and a checklist step honestly described as “unit tests for English.” Real tooling with real adoption. Be sceptical of the stronger claim that specs are literally executable, which overstates what a markdown file does; this catalog's version puts the spec in the work item instead.
